A catalogue for a Kerava Art Museum exhibition
Hole in the Universe places a person into the grandest possible scale: inside the spatial and temporal framework of the universe. It takes one to the brink of the unknown, into mind-facinating world of black holes and wormholes.
The Hole in the Universe exhibition was created to celebrate Markku Hakuri’s career as an environmental artist and professor at Aalto University School of Art, Design and Architecture in Helsinki. The exhibition was divided into three parts, works of current students, works of previous students and works of colleagues.
The catalogue includes letters from all the artists as well as sketches of the works they were proposing for the exhibition. The finals works were only unveiled at the exhibition opening.
Many of the most amusing inventions have from the beginning existed for most people just in hilarious stories. If you don’t know what they are, there is always hope that Markku will tell you sometime.
