A 16 page booklet of a English novella written by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell. First published in the Cornhill Magazine in 1865 as a serial, the story is set in a provincial 1830s English town. When Mrs. Gaskell died suddenly in 1865, the tale was not quite complete and Frederick Greenwood wrote the last section.
The design combines modern type treatments with Victorian style illustrations, to make it attractive to a modern audience without loosing the essence and beauty of the era it is set in.
Saddle stitched booklet printed on uncoated stock. Front and back covers printed, die-cut vinyl
